Hello Shepherd of the Hills Family and Friends!
Based on the recommendation of the Center for Disease Control and the state of Minnesota we are erring on the side of caution and decided to suspend all Shepherd of the Hills in-person services until at least April 5, 2020. An email was sent to the congregation today with specific details. Below are the changes that were made to the schedule. Also, some of these changes mentioned will not take into effect until we meet again for in-person worship.
Bible Study, Sunday School, and Youth Group (Teen Study)are suspended until it is determined safe by health authorities to have large groups of people gather together. When we do offer in-person worship again, it will be determined if is safe to have Sunday School and Bible Study. As a result, Bible Study and Sunday School type resources will be made available online to our members.
Youth Confirmation Class is canceled for March 22nd. Pastor will be communicating with parents about remote education for future Youth Confirmation Class lessons. This way class can be completed by parents and the students. Confirmation Sunday is still scheduled for May 3rd.
Easter Breakfast on April 12th is canceled.
There will be no Easter for Kids this year.
Snacks after worship are suspended until it is determined safe for large groups to gather in the fellowship hall and bring in food from outside sources.
Church Choir practices have been suspended.
We encourage those who are elderly or have underlying health risks to please stay at home from worship services until health authorities state that it is safe to attend.
In-person worship services will be streamed-live via Facebook, so that those who are staying home will have an opportunity to worship with our congregation. Links to watch will be made available for our members.
Until we worship in-person all offerings will be collected through the mail or through online giving. To make an online gift please go to Give tab above. We would like to note if you give your offering with your bank account number of instead of a credit card there will be a lower processing charge. God’s blessings to you and your families. We pray that God grants you good health and his protection. We look forward to when we will come together in-person and lift our voices in praise to our amazing God. Remember God still reigns, he is still in control, and only by his love and grace will we get through this together. May we take advantage of this opportunity to share gospel through social media and other online means to our community. At a time such as this, what people need to know most is their Savior. God’s work done God’s way will never lack God’s supply.
